- CAE Environment for Application Specific Integrated Circuit Design, first in the Soviet Union (1984 - 1988) Concept of multiple language space in computer system design process; Object Oriented Digital Hardware Design Language with flexible syntax; Architecture of integrated Logic Simulator, probability based Timing Verificator and tester; Object Oriented DBMS of designs and components; Prototype version of the system operating by 1988.
- CASE System for real-time software development (1976 - 1984). Cross compiler-compiler, high level hardware description language, multiple processor simulator, was successfully used in a number of commercial and military institutions throughout the Soviet Union.
- General purpose operating system (1973 - 1976). OS with real-time features and JCL interface compatible with OS/360 for a soviet mainframe computer. The system was in use over several years.
STATE
COMMITTEE OF INFORMATICS AND COMPUTING OF THE SOVIET UNION 1981 -
1987
Chairman of 72 expert workshop from all firms
involved in microcomputer technology.
The workshop served as body of experts for the Government of the Soviet Union.
- Directed compiling and editing of the regular "State of the Art" reports for the government of the USSR;
- Directed expert analysis and reviews of microcomputer software projects seeking government financing;
- Organized professional conferences, seminars and publications on innovative topics of the Microcomputer Software Engineering.
Initiated and sponsored development
- State Program of Personal Computers for the educational system of the Soviet Union;
- Proposal for legislature to protect computer software under soviet patent law;
- Proposal for standardized engineering procedures for micro-controller development projects.

Directed and managed the projects as a private
contractor with members of my team from the Institute as well as with
subcontractors from other institutions. Partial list of projects:
- Compact car control computer with fuel consumption, digital tachometer and speedometer on Intel 8748 (1986 - 1988);
- Computerized office phone system with diary, clock/calendar and appointment list, on Intel 8085 (1983 - 1984);
- General-purpose regional computer network in Tallinn (1980 - 1982).
EDUCATION:
1983 St. Petersburg State Technical University,(former Leningrad Polytechnic Institute, USSR); awarded degree of Candidate of Engineering Sciences (equivalent to Ph.D. in Computer Engineering). Thesis: "Software Engineering Methods and Tools for Distributed Computer Control Systems." Certified copy of diploma available upon request.
1969 Tallinn Technical University, Degree in Electrical Engineering (equivalent to M.S.E.E.), major in computer science.
